The Whirlwind Review

The Whirlwind Review is

a new literary journal focusing on the intersections of
writing and spirituality, broadly defined.

We publish:

fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and critical essays on
writing and spirituality
in all spiritual, religious, and mythic traditions.

Submissions:

We are now accepting work
from established and beginning writers.
Unpublished and emerging writers are especially encouraged to submit.

    short fiction up to 5,000 words, including
  • short stories
  • self-contained novel excerpts up to 10,000 words
  • poetry
  • creative nonfiction up to 5,000 words
    critical essays relating to
  • spiritual experience in the writer's life
  • writing and the Sacred
  • writing as a spiritual path
  • writing as an aid to other spiritual practices
  • writing in any spiritual or religious tradition
