Writing for Change in Difficult Times:
          Finding Clarity & Strength Through
                           the Written Word

May 16 - June 13

We are living through a global financial crisis. Families are losing jobs, homes, health insurance, and pets. For many of us, insecurity, fear, and anxiety are daily companions.

How can writing help us through this difficult time? By offering us avenues to clarity, direction, and determination. By helping us discover the strengths and resources—inner and outer—that we already have.  By showing us how to transform fear into creative energy.

In this four-week course, we will use journaling, poetry, writing prompts, meditations, discussion and other activities to identify our greatest challenges, create a plan to address those challenges, and rally our resources.

At the end of the course, each participant will have a clear understanding of the path ahead, a concrete action plan, and a set of practices for continued growth and development.

Writing the Crazy Wisdom Way
May 16 - June 27

Inside every writer is a wisdom that is dynamic, unbounded, and infused with energy. Return to the fresh, natural creativity you were born with. Rediscover your "crazy wisdom" in this six-week online course.

In this six-week workshop, we will ignite our crazy wisdom by playing with multiple perspectives, ambiguity, and the absurd.  Each week, participants will be emailed a packet consisting of readings, exercises, ideas, techniques, things to think about, and suggestions for writing.  You can respond to the material; share your ideas, experiences, and writings; and interact with other participants on the Crazy Wisdom Discussion Forum.
